Useful information
Planning your experience
Planning an event, whether a three-course meal for two, a wedding breakfast for the many, or anything in between, we begin with an email outlining the options to cater to the specific requirements; this will include the current pricing for each option.
Followed by sample menus, these menus can then be tailored to your group's needs and tastes, whether it is a diet need or looking to create a meal you once had in the "South of Spain" or both.
We only hope for a relatively tidy kitchen to work in. If you want to set the diner table, feel free, but we plan to do this; we bring printed menus and lay the table accordingly.
A fair bit of time can go into cooking a three-course meal, and preparation is needed before we arrive. The level of preparation is very similar to what most chefs do in a professional kitchen before service; for instance, most sauces and garnishes are prepared in advance, meaning these items are cooked and seasoned to perfection. That frees time to discuss the menu, explain the dishes and promote our Cornish producers. Also, if anyone wants to know more about the local area, such as where to spot seals, where the best surf is or what beach to take the dogs to.
When it comes to our private chef experiences, we arrive approximately an hour before you would like the first course; if you have planned canapes, we may need a little more time.
We bring extra plates, glassware, and cutlery; however, we usually use the equipment at the properties, as most have suitable bits and bobs.
Many of our clients are generally on holiday or locals staying in beautiful houses, looking to celebrate a birthday or enjoying precious time with friends and family.
Prices do vary depending on what you are looking for.
For instance, a three-course meal is only £69.30 per person, which includes service and all of the above. There are no hidden costs, although we may need to include a surcharge for travel expenses.
