Chef Robert Michael I was raised here in Cornwall and consider myself very fortunate to have enjoyed a happy and successful career as a chef. During my formative years, I've cooked in many exceptional places and had the opportunity to prepare meals for some truly inspiring individuals, including Mitchel Roux and Michel Rou Junior, both Michelin-star chefs. My path and journey has somewhat shifted in recent years from working exclusively in professional kitchens to creating Flavour and Wine and cooking in private homes as a personal chef. This has made many significant changes for me, the most rewarding of which is that it allows me to spend more precious time with my two young girls. Now, three years on, Flavour and Wine remains a rewarding challenge. I find myself travelling to many beautiful and often very remote locations around Cornwall, including a brief spell in Italy. 🙂 am very humbled to have received the UK Enterprise Award in 2023 for Best Luxury Catering Service. 'for those who know me, know I love a party, so what better place to spend my tine.' I've always taken pleasure in meeting new people and find it interesting that for many of the groups I cater to, it is their first experience of having a private chef host their evening. I task myself with taking care of as many aspects of the hosting as possible so that everyone can relax, enjoy, and be part of the get-together without the stress of cooking, washing up, or tidying the kitchen at the end of the evening.
